Being publisher of Malibu Magazine allows the opportunity to both entertain and inspire our readers as we strive to continually bring to our pages unique and impactful content. In celebration of our 8 years of publishing, we decided to focus on a topic near and dear to our hearts.
The health of our little community hugs the most pristine coastline in Southern California — but it’s a coastline in peril. The ever-present deterioration of the Santa Monica Bay, polluted waters, diseased and dying marine life along with a personal desire to promote change, had served as the inspiration for our second “Blue Issue” dedicated entirely to the world’s oceans. The Blue Project was born as an editorial idea while developing that issue, and has since evolved further than the the pages of the magazine itself. I am proud to be a part of its ongoing efforts in raising awareness and inspiring change.
